I took this picture in June when I was staying on the SFSU (San Fransisco State University) campus during the Aikido Summer Camp 2006. Sorry for the crappy resolution but I'm still without a decent camera
That's one interesting tree there. The overall composition of the shot isn't bad, would have been nice to see it cropped down a bit to remove the building in the background. It kind of detracts from the rest of the photo. I especialy like the way you placed the title 'onto' the sidewalk. I'd be interested to see more shots from various angles and perspectives.
Thanks, cropping it would have helped but I dunno, since I have such a crappy camera right now it's kind of discouraging for me to push myself to improve my photography and learn but ocne I get a better cam I'm gonna get into it a lot more... thanks again
I think that it may be a fun and possibly interesting challenge to come up with some great uses for a camera that doesn't take high resolution pictures. I can imagine some interesting abstact-like shots or just a whole new twist to a portrait of an everyday site. It could lead to some very inventive discoveries, who knows... it may even start a new style of art!
Did I ever mention that I'm using a camcorder? not just a crappy digital camera but a video camera for still pictures? Oh well, I really appreciate you motivating me and encouraging me to keep it up though... and I think I might even accept that challenge, but it's also annoying dealing with such a camera which really has no settings to change and experiment with other then manual focus but hopefully I'll be able to get a nicer camera soon.... untill then I'll see what I can come up with... Thanks again
Didn't realize it was a digital video cammera. The shot actually looks really good given that information. Have you ever done any playing with film and the dark room?

Even though you don't have a "decent camera", I think it turned out nicely.
